BPD treatments and recovery
BPD was once an “untreatable” disorder. However, this is far from fact especially with the development of specialised therapies that have proven effective for BPD treatment in the last two decades.

BPD can have a good prognosis if properly treated. As people with BPD often have comorbid diagnoses, studies have shown that with the improvement of BPD symptoms, the intensity of other disorders decrease. However, when comorbid disorders improve alone, BPD symptoms may not.
This suggest that as we develop better ways to define, treat, and understand BPD, we will improve the ability to relieve the suffering inherent in this disorder.
